Installing the plugin

Two ways to add ClearConsent to your site. The first is easiest.

From your WordPress admin

Recommended
  1. Download clearconsent.zip above.
  2. In WP admin, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
  3. Choose the zip, then click Install Now.
  4. Click Activate when the install finishes.

Manually via FTP / SFTP

Advanced
  1. Unzip clearconsent.zip on your computer.
  2. Upload the clearconsent folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
  3. In WP admin, open Plugins.
  4. Find ClearConsent and click Activate.
That’s it. Once activated, open Settings › ClearConsent to add your services, customize the banner, and enable Google Consent Mode v2.
